Hey.

My name is Daniel and I live in Austria, the guitar-shaped country in the middle of Europe where people wear lederhosen and drink beer from the age of 16. I study cyber security and spend far too much time in front of a computer screen, which makes me feel disconnected from the real world. Photography helps me to ground myself and enjoy everyday moments in a more intimate way, as every moment is irreplaceable and never perfect. These imperfections make the world an exciting and adventurous place to discover.

I have enjoyed photography for several years now and have captured many memories with my camera. Since 2023, I feel that photography has lost its meaning for many people, as generative AI has become dominant and people are using this new technology to produce more and more content. Nowadays, it seems more than necessary to share human-created content on the internet, as almost every second post on social media and almost all content on websites seems to be generated by a computer, with words being strung together based on propabilities and stolen intellectual property from real people and artists.

This is the reason, I created this website and would like to share my view of the world, so that people have the opportunity to escape the social media-hell and enjoy content at a slower pace. It is highly probable that not everyone will like my interpretation of the world. Nevertheless, everything here is of human origin.

I would never describe my work as art or professional photography, this is just a side project, as I want the world to slow down and enjoy man-made photography with all its imperfections.
